Structured, Not Ad Hoc
Pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical subjects are taught with clear connections. Subjects build on each other methodically. No subject is taught in isolation.
Mentorship Model
The focus is not on rote learning but on understanding concepts and applying knowledge to clinical situations. The teaching is grounded on problem-based and group discussion and assignment. Practice is intentional — it is not accidental.
English-Medium Instruction
The language of instruction is English. Teaching materials and examinations are conducted in English. This approach is intended to align with global medical communication standards and prepares students for clinical documentation and communication.
Clinical Integration
Clinical training takes place in hospitals and in clinical rotation sessions. This includes case studies, patient-level exposure, rounds, bedside teaching, and patient management exercises.
Assessment Philosophy
Assessment is carried out through internal examinations. The examination stage is a deliberate point in the academic pathway, intended to evaluate whether the students have met the expected learning outcomes for each course.
Faculty Selection
Faculty composition includes experienced and dedicated professors from India, Timor-Leste, and regional universities. Faculty members follow structured curriculum plans, set clear expectations, and engage directly with each student.
